Fuair siad bás ar son Saoirse na hÉireann
Ever since Ian Paisley announced his intention to stand down in May we have been subjected to much speculation about the relationship between Sinn Féin and the DUP. China's economic power deflects Western support for Tibet OVER THE DECADES, particularly since the Second World War, it has been painful to watch the self-appointed watchdogs of 'The Free World' - an interesting concept - damn from great heights every popular and progressive liberation movement that has dared to raise its head above the parapet, castigating them as terrorists and enemies of the civilised world. Creid é nó ná creid, tá mé fós ar mo chuid taistil agus níl mé ag iarraidh filleadh ar Éirinn agus ar an Tíogar Ceilteach gránna lena Cabernet Sauvignon agus Plank Kenny agus na bómáin ar an Late Late agus na daoine ramhra ar chlár Gerry Ryan agus é ag bladaráil amach trí thóin a bhríste.
WELL, now we can all get back to hating Vincent's and they can get back to telling us how superior they are to everyone else! Seriously, though, I doubt that there were any GAA people in Dublin who were not happy to see them win last Monday. Okay, that's probably an exaggeration. I HAVE FOUND the Cathal Ó Searcaigh case most disturbing, not for the RTÉ documentary itself but for the baffling enthusiasm with which some of the country's artists and 'intellectuals' have rallied round the poet. |
