SINN FÉIN'S four TDs and Senator Pearse Doherty launched the party's country-wide Easter Lily campaign on Tuesday, 11 March, remembering the men and women of 1916. The launch is part of the Sinn Féin's campaign to promote and popularise the cause of Irish unity. Free article
SF meets DUP in 'crisis' talks

SINN FÉIN has held a behind the scenes meeting with the DUP in an attempt to avert possible difficulties in the power sharing executive. Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams met DUP deputy leader Peter Robinson this week to discuss difficulties arising over a number of key issues, including the Irish Language Act, the development of the Long Kesh site and transfer of policing and justice powers. SINN FÉIN President Gerry Adams and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness met with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in Government Buildings in Dublin on Monday evening, 10 March, for an hour-long discussion on the political situation in the North. The meeting focused on the issue of transferring powers on policing and justice from London to the Six Counties. Free article
