Ó Snodaigh slams Israeli Government

Speaking on Wednesday, 9 August as the UN Security Council members continued their deliberations on the Israeli conflict, Sinn Féin International Affairs spokesperson Aengus Ó Snodaigh described the comments of the Israeli representative to the UN as 'perverse'. He went on to call for a resolution to the conflict 'based on peace and fairness, rather than Israeli lies and hypocrisy' Free article

Joshua Casteel served in the United States Army as an army interrogator for eight years between 2002 and 2005. He worked in the infamous Iraqi prison of Abu Ghraib from June 2004 to January 2005. His experiences in Iraq convinced him that he could not longer participate in the war, and he applied for conscientious objector status in December 2005, receiving an Honorable Discharge from the US Army last May.
