Sinn Féin promotes wearing of Easter Lily

SINN FÉIN has made a major effort this year to promote the wearing of the Easter Lily to celebrate the memory of the 1916 Easter rising and to further popularise the cause of Irish unity. Last week the party's four TDs and Senator Pearse Doherty launched a country-wide Easter Lily campaign. Over the Easter period, Sinn Féin activists are distributing more than 100,000 leaflets, while Easter commemorations will take place across the country. Free article
'Latest attack on Monaghan Hospital must be resisted'

Sinn Féin Health spokesperson and Cavan-Monaghan TD Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin has learned that the Ventilation Unit at Monaghan General Hospital is to close on 7 April. SINN FÉIN'S Economic Affairs spokesperson in the Dáil has challenged Finance Minister Brian Cowen to spell out what action his government will take in answer to last week's Quarterly Economic Commentary by the Economic and Social Research Institute which predicts that the 26-County economy is set to grow at its slowest pace for 20 years. Sinn Féin lodges agency workers' council motion in every county

Sinn Féin TD and Economic Spokesperson Arthur Morgan has launched a council motion on agency workers that will be lodged in local authorities in every county in the 26 Counties over the coming weeks.
