Ferris assaulted by Gardaí

General election candidate for Kerry North, Martin Ferris, was assaulted by Gardaí in Killarney Garda Station last Sunday, according to Sinn Féin, which has accused the guards of orchestrating a campaign of political harassment against party members in the county. Free article

Bloody Sunday immunity document revealed

The Bloody Sunday Inquiry has uncovered a document which reveals that between January 1970 and March 1972 an agreement existed between the RUC Chief Constable and the British Army GOC to severely limit the scope of any inquiries into killings by British state forces, in effect offering all members of the security forces immunity from prosecution. Troops Out organise Holy Cross Mothers' speaking tour

Sharon McCabe and Elizabeth Murphy, whose eight-year-old daughters go to Holy Cross School in Belfast, spent a hectic four days in England and Wales between 7-10 March as guests of the Troops Out Movement. The tour was part of International Women's Day (IWD) events. As members of the Right to Education Group, the women spoke about the loyalist gauntlet of hate their children had been forced to experience in insisting that they had the right to attend school. Catholic man flees UDA drug dealers
