Farmers' mart survey : Initial findings show dissatisfaction

THE National Ploughing Championships in Kilkenny last week saw Martin Ferris TD release the initial findings of a survey on the future of farming conducted by Sinn Féin during the summer months. An analysis of the complete survey will be published later this year as part of the Oireachtas Agriculture and Fisheries report into the future of farming and fishing in the west of Ireland. What is presented here is a sample from the survey carried out at marts in West Cork and Kerry. Free article

IN the aftermath of the first Civil Rights march from Coalisland to Dungannon, in August 1968, it was announced that the next demonstration would be in the city of Derry.
