Much of the media coverage of the transfer of policing and justice powers from London to Belfast has repeated the line that this is "the first time since 1972" that the Six Counties have had their own Justice Minister. The murder in Tyrellstown, Dublin, of teenager Toyosi Shittabey on Good Friday has renewed determination to combat racism in Ireland. It is widely believed that there was racial motivation in the brutal knife attack on the 15-year-old.
