Eddie Andrews

Eddie Andrews was born 28th September 1934 in the Whiterock Area of Belfast. His mother Susie and father Eddie had 6 children in all.

Following in his father's footsteps Eddie joined the republican movement in the early 1960s. In the 1940s, Eddie's father was interned and on the morning of 9 August 1971 Eddie again followed his father and was interned by the Brits along with other republicans in the Six Counties.

Sadly, a number of weeks ago Eddie suffered a serious brain haemorrhage which resulted in his untimely death. Ironically, this was the 30th anniversary of his internment. His loving wife, children, grandchildren, friends and the republican family will sadly miss him.
