Laois/Offaly campaign kicks off
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams and West Belfast Assembly member Alex Maskey both took time earlier this month to visit Laois and Offaly to campaign alongside the party's general election candidate, Brian Stanley. Adams spoke with local media, addressed a large meeting of supporters and party members in Portlaoise and joined Stanley canvassing in Portlaoise and in Tullamore, where he received a presentation from young people at the FAS training centre.
Alex Maskey also helped raise Sinn Féin's profile in the constituency by doing media interviews and canvassing in Tullamore, Portarlington, Mountmellick and Portlaoise.
