Nationalists accuse Housing Executive
Nationalist residents of a Toomebridge housing estate are accusing the Housing Executive of treating them as second class citizens.
The residents are angry that housing executive repairs being carried out on the estate in the County Antrim village are not up to standard. They now want the executive to meet the residents' association to discuss the difficulties that have arisen.
Sinn Féin councillor Martin Meehan, who attended a protest organised by residents, says the Housing Executive has been carrying out substandard work.
Meehan explained that the executive has only released money for repairs to windows rather than install the double glazing needed.
