On Sunday 15 July, the Tar Isteach Bog Trotters set out once again for the Dublin Mountains, this time with a difference. Sunday's walk gathered republican women from Ógra Shinn Féin, the National Women's Forum and supporters for a trek through the Pine Forest and beyond. The good weather held for the three-hour walk and Gay Clery provided commentary on the flora and fauna of the area as well as some of the local history.
With the success of this inaugural women's walk, it was decided to organize further such expeditions for the autumn.
Any women interested should contact Kieran in the Tar Isteach office for more information. (01) 8749990.
