Is your water safe to drink?
The debate on the safety of adding fluoride to the Irish water supply is hotting up North and South. Here, UALTAR Ó GRÉACHÁIN puts the case for those who believe that water fluoridation is little more than mass poisoning.

Well, that is exactly what the Dublin government has been doing for the past 35 years when they add fluoride to your tap water. But it's not fluoride they're adding, it is a chemical cocktail called hydrofluorosilicic acid. It does have fluoride in it, but it also has arsenic, lead, uranium, chronium etc. The reason there are so many poisonous contaminants is because the fluorosilicic acid is the toxic waste of the fertiliser industry. The Irish people are being forced to drink fertiliser toxic waste! Hydrofluorosilicic acid is so corrosive it can eat through concrete, steel, glass and fiberglass. The only reason it doesn't eat through your stomach is because they water it down to one part per million parts of water.
Fluoride is much more poisonous than lead. I know you're saying ``If fluoride is much more poisonous than lead - then toothpaste tubes would have a poison warning''. In America, they do. All US toothpaste tubes that contain fluoride have a poison warning on the back, by federal law since 1997, that states: ``If you accidentally swallow more than a pea-sized amount of toothpaste, you should contact a poison control centre immediately.'' In fact, there is enough fluoride in a tube to kill a child! One-fifth of a level teaspoon is a lethal dose for a child - that's how much is in an average tube. Sodium fluoride is registered as rat poison and roach poison with the US Environmental Protection Agency.
I have helped to set up citizens' groups throughout Ireland to fight for the freedom of all the people to drink water free from fluoride. They have set up a web site with a lot of information. The web address is www.fluoridefree.com. Freedom of information Act questions have forced the Dublin government to admit:
that there is no proof that hydrofluorosilicic acid reduces tooth decay.
that there is no proof that the acid is safe to drink.
that there is no environmental impact study.
that fluoride has never been passed and approved as a drug.
The union of 15,000 scientists and other professionals of the US Environmental Protection Agency in Washington put out a statement in 1997: ``Our members' review of the body of evidence over the last eleven years... indicate a causal link between fluoride/fluoridation and cancer, genetic damage, neurological impairment and bone pathology. Of particular concern are recent epidemiology studies linking fluoride exposures to lower IQ in children.''
Ireland has the highest cancer rate in Europe, the highest osteoporosis rate in Europe, one fifth of the adult population with irritable bowel syndrome and 50 per cent of children have dental fluorosis (structural tooth damage caused by fluoride). It's not surprising that Ireland has such bad health when the government dump fertiliser toxic waste in the water.
Fluoride acid in water doesn't come in with a tag that says `teeth only' - if it is making hard teeth, as dentists claim, it is also making hard bones - which is osteoporosis.
One of the most obvious diseases that fluoride causes is Dental Fluorosis.
Fluorosis is white flecking, brown staining and pitting of children's teeth. 50 per cent of the children in the 26 Counties now have this oral disease. No other chemical on earth can cause fluorosis but fluoride. Two studies out of Poland in 1993 proved that children who have dental fluorosis also have bone changes. So, what have you got for 35 years of mass drugging - you've simply traded one oral disease (cavities) for another oral disease (fluorosis) and you still haven't cured cavities!
Fluoride also causes irritable bowel syndrome. One-fifth of the adult population suffer from it in the Republic. IBS can be cured in 10-15 days with no drugs, just by getting off all sources of fluoride: tap water, tea, guinness, toothpaste, mouth washes and all foods cooked or manufactured using tap water - if it is caused by fluoride it will clear up.
There were three lawsuits in three separate states in America that proved fluoride can cause cancer. There are over 20 scientific studies showing fluoride's ability to cause cancer. I don't know if they are all true, but with the 26 Counties having the highest cancer rate in Europe, I don't want to wait around to find out. This must be stopped now.
Ninety-eight per cent of Europe has rejected artificial water fluoridation. The citizens' groups in Ireland need your help to get this stopped here. We need a law, like they have in Holland, that prevents our drinking water from being used to dump drugs.
