Republicans would help Garvaghy people
Addressing a rally organised by the Garvaghy Road Residents Coalition Sinn Fein's Francie Molloy promised that if the Coalition requested the help of republicans during this year's Drumcree Orange march then they would respond.
5,000 people from across the north, and some from the south, attended the rally which was also addressed by Diane Hamill, whose brother was beaten to death by Portadown loyalists, and Brid Rodgers of the SDLP.
Molloy called on Unionists to accept that if they trample down Garvaghy Road this year they are sending a signal to nationalists that nothing has changed.
