Saoirse rally planned for eve of talks
Saoirse has called on all former POWs and relatives to join a massive eve of talks rally at Belfast City Hall on Sunday 14 September. The rally will be preceded by marches from the Whiterock Road in West Belfast and Ardoyne and the New Lodge Road in North Belfast (full details in next week's An Phoblacht).
Saoirse spokesperson Martin Meehan said, ``The issue of prisoners must be kept high on the agenda for the talks beginning 15 September. In order for that to happen we are calling on people to take to the streets to support our demand for the release of political prisoners. In particular we want as many former POWs and the relatives of both former and serving prisoners to make their presence felt.''
