Sinn Féin meets IRSP
Sinn Fein Chairperson Mitchell McLaughlin welcomed the talks with the representatives of the IRSP held in Belfast this week, describing them as ``constructive and positive''. McLaughlin said the parties had discussed the current political situation, and the peace process.
McLaughlin then reiterated Sinn Fein's commitment to dialogue, saying, ``We are guided in our engagements with other political parties by our peace strategy, and this was part of that ongoing strategy.'' It was confirmed the parties would meet again.
Also this week, Sinn Féin met with the Liberal Democrat's Commons spokesperson on the Six Counties, Lembit Opik.
