Sunday 3 August

At least six people were injured in Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh as the RUC in full riot gear clashed with anti-march demonstrators shortly before a parade by members of the Royal Black Preceptory.

 


Monday 4 August

It is reported that SDLP leader John Hume may stand in the forthcoming 26-County Presidential election.

The Apprentice Boys' parade in Dunloy, County Antrim is to be rerouted, along with several others, away from nationalist areas.

The British government is to review the IRA ceasefire at the end of the month.
