The Ard Fheis takes place at the INEC in Killarney on Friday and Saturday, 25 and 26 May.

ALL Sinn Féin members and supporters are being urged to help make the Sinn Féin Ard Fheis in Killarney, County Kerry, just days ahead of the vote on the EU Fiscal Austerity Treaty, one of the biggest political rallies of the year at a critical time in Ireland’s history.

The Ard Fheis takes place at the INEC in Killarney on Friday and Saturday, 25 and 26 May.

More than 150 motions are on the clár on a host of issues including the all-Ireland agenda for change, austerity, Sinn Féin in the Assembly and the Dáil, local government, fighting the Tory cuts and securing financial powers for the Assembly, the EU, resisting the Household Charge and water taxes, the Middle East, the Basque Country and Catalonia.

Gerry Adams’s Presidential Address will be televised live by RTÉ at 5:30pm on Saturday evening.

To help make the trip easier for comrades, special travel arrangements at affordable prices are being laid on through local constituency offices.

Urging people to make every effort to get to the Ard Fheis, Gerry Adams said these are important times for all-Ireland politics. He is looking forward to what is shaping up to be a “vibrant and energetic Ard Fheis.”

“The Sinn Féin Ard Fheis will this year come to Munster for the first time since the foundation of the party.

“Party members will discuss such issues as the Uniting Ireland project, the economy, North and South, and, of course, the Austerity Treaty referendum.

“We are looking forward to what is shaping up to be a vibrant and energetic Ard Fheis in the beautiful surroundings of Killarney.

“Ar aghaidh linn go Ciarraí!”
