Afghan visitors to Tar Anall

FORMER republicans POWs from Coiste na nIarchimí and Tar Anall met with a group of citizens from Afghanistan in Belfast last week.
The Afghans were in Ireland under the auspices of the Wicklow-based Glencree Peace and Reconciliation group.
The group included academics, professional people, politicians and community leaders who wanted to hear from former prisoners how they dealt with and viewed the development of the Peace Process in Ireland.
The Afghans felt they could expand their own awareness of peace building through hearing of the experiences of former prisoners and ex-combatants.
