Nationalist resident demands transfer
Derry Sinn Féin councillor Mary Nelis has accused the RUC and Housing Executive of endangering the life of a nationalist, attacked twice by loyalists over a six week period, by refusing to transfer him out of the predominantly loyalist area where he lives.
Conor McCourt wants to move from London Street in Derry city centre yet the Housing Executive won't move him, saying they have no indication from the RUC of the nature of the attacks against him.
Councillor Nelis says the RUC know the nature of the attacks against McCourt and are being ``evasive and vindictive in their refusal to confirm the danger which confronts Mr McCourt''.
