Tribute to long-serving activist
Republicans in County Cavan recently gathered to pay tribute to one of Sinn Féin’s longest-serving activists, Charlie Boylan who was re-elected to Cavan County Council in June. He served as Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council up until the election and has been a member of the Council since 1999. In 1981 Charlie served as election agent for Kieran Doherty, Cavan-Monaghan TD and hunger striker. Our picture shows (left to right) Cathal Boylan, Cllr. Charlie Boylan and Raymond Brady.
