John Bruton tells the Dunnes payments tribunal he sought funds from 100 businesses between 1991 and 1994. Government spokeperson said there was no contradiction between this and Bruton's previous evidence to the Beef Tribunal in 1992.
Two INLA prisoners in Maghaberry take a prison officer hostage. He is released unharmed after being held for several hours.
