IRA say weapons found at Derrymacash

THE IRA HAS TOLD An Phoblacht that three AK47 assault rifles put on show by the RUC days after a crown forces undercover unit fired on civilians, near Lurgan in North Armagh were found in Derrymacash about 15 miles away and not at the scene of the RUC shooting.

The RUC were attempting to justify their actions when on 14 March a squad of undercover RUC members opened fire on members of staff at the Derryhirk Inn near Aghagallon a few miles outside Lurgan. Some rounds struck the bulletproof glass in the pub's windows; undoubtedly saving the lives of customers in the packed bar.

According to the IRA the weapons put on display by the RUC were not found until days after the Derryhirk shooting which occurred on Friday 14 March and were in fact found some 15 miles from that incident on the southern shore of Lough Neagh at Derrymacash.

In recent weeks republicans have expressed concern at incidents involving British forces carrying out covert operations, the latest of which happened in the Tyrone town of Coalisland where teenager Gareth Doris was shot and wounded by the SAS.
