The street where Kathleen used to live is now festooned with unionist flags and bunting. No doubt on the Eleventh night there was plenty to celebrate with one Fenian less in the village. And no doubt those same drums, used to hound Kathleen McCaughey from her home and heritage, pounded again.

DUP leader Ian Paisley is Kathleen's local MP. A short distance from Kathleen's new home, Paisley will have, this twelfth of July, in bellowing tones and amid thumping dtums addressed members of his Independent Orange Order.
