Elections welcome

British Prime Minister Tony Blair's announcement on Tuesday that there will be a general election on 5 May was the worst kept secret.

Sinn Féin activists across the Six Counties have been on the campaign trail for several weeks now.

The party will stand on its record and policies and party leaders and is confident that the people will return both more MPs and councillors across the North, increasing political strength and advancing the freedom struggle.
