Belfast home stoned

Sinn Féin councillor Marie Moore has called on the owners of the site formerly known as Finlay's factory on the Ballygomartin Road to secure it before someone is seriously injured by loyalists.

Moore was speaking after a Catholic home in Moyard Crescent was attacked with bricks on Sunday night 5 October. Michelle Walsh was at home with her three young children at around 7pm when loyalists, who use the disused factory as a short cut, threw bricks at her window.

"There was a loud smash and a brick came through the bathroom window," said Walsh. "I could hear them shouting 'Fenians' in at us."
