Arsonists target Irish nursery school

The arson attack that destroyed one of two mobile classrooms at an Irish language nursery school in Poleglass was carried out by "people with no values", says Sinn Féin councillor Michael Ferguson.

He was speaking after visiting the charred remains of the building, which once housed the school's art supplies and equipment. Arsonists targeted Naíscoil Thoilinn on the Bell Steele Road shortly after 12.30am on Tuesday 23 September.

One of the school's two classrooms was completely gutted and scorch damage was caused to the other during the attack.

"The mobile was completely burnt out. It was a big mobile classroom and it was just gone," said teacher Ciara McCullough.
