Letterkenny hunger strike memorial

Letterkenny in Co. Donegal remembered the 1981 hunger strikers at a ceremony held by the Donegal `81 Committee last weekend in conjunction with Letterkenny UDC. A memorial stone was unveiled by guest speaker and former hunger striker Raymond McCartney at a memorial garden in the Green Area, Glenboe, which is situated at the rear of the Glencar Inn in Letterkenny.
