CAC bombs Derry tax office

``This is no joke. This is a bomb. Get out.'' Those words shouted by a masked man armed with a handgun who left a holdall containing explosives with petrol attached meant the evacuation of 300 British government workers in Derry City last Thursday morning 30 October.

Twenty minutes later a small explosion shook the motor tax office in Foyle Street just before a British army technical unit arrived at the scene.

Sinn Fein's Dodie McGuinness described the bombing as ``deeply concerning'' and said those responsible were trying to undermine the peace process. ``I believe everyone should remain focused on the task in hand and not be deflected by incidents of this kind,'' she said.
