THE Patients and Clients’ Council has now taken up local concerns about plans to cut local GP out-of-hours medical services in Strabane and Limavady, according to Sinn Féin West Tyrone MLA Claire McGill.
The Sinn Féin Assembly member recently organised a public meeting where families raised their concerns over the plan.
“I believe that the plans to reduce GP out-of-hours cover to be totally ill-conceived and will, if allowed to proceed in their current form, lead to a breakdown in service provision. The Trust needs to go back to the drawing board.”
