On the Road for the Colombia Three
Dubbeljoint Theatre Company will performing its hit play, 'Paddy on the Road' (The Times and Music of Christy Moore), in the Felons Club on Friday 11 April on behalf of the campaign to bring home the three Irishmen being held in prison in Colombia whose trial resumes next week.
A Dubbeljoint insider said that "Terry 'Cruncher' O'Neill has been playing benefit gigs almost as long as Christy himself, so when this date came up he wanted to do it. He knows it's a special show for the campaign and he'll want to be on form for the night."
Already on its third tour the play has been a great success around Ireland and plans are in progress for tours in England, Scotland and America. Dubbeljoint has concentrated with this play on bringing its work to non-traditional theatre venues and audiences in the clubs and pubs around the North. This is a great production that works in a relaxed club atmosphere. People who have never seen a play since their school days have thoroughly enjoyed Paddy on the Road.
