Draíocht Children's Festival 4-16 March

Draíocht Children's Festival kicks of on Monday 4 March with a fortnight of arts activities, bringing colour and creation to West Belfast.

This unique arts festival provides children and young people with an opportunity to engage in a range of arts they may previously have not experienced. This year's festival includes dramas, arts and crafts, workshops, multi-cultural day, street theatre, and a fantastic sports event for young people with and without disabilities plus much more.

"Draíocht is a magical experience for all involved," says J.P. Mac Alistair, the event's Children's Arts Co-Coordinator. "The range of arts activities included in this year's programme is more than ever before, beginning with the fantastic 'Peig! Peg!' by Púca Puppets on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 March in An Chultúrlann. This bilingual festival of nursery rhymes and children's songs especially for the 3-5yrs will set the pace for the rest of the festival, with lots of fun and excitement. Draíocht has something for everyone aged 3-18yrs!"
