Eamon Dunphy says ‘Vote Sinn Féin’ to send the Establishment a defiant message

EAMON DUNPHY, the outspoken TV and radio pundit, has urged people to vote Sinn Féin “to send Brussels a defiant message” over the banks, the IMF and Irish sovereignty.

Describing Election 2011 as “the most important election of our lifetime”, he wrote in The Dunphy Files column in the Irish Daily Star last Saturday:

This election is about deciding whether we continue to support the established political order or reject it by voting for real change. There is only one way we can do that.

Vote for Independents and Sinn Féin and reject Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael, Labour and the Greens.

This would send a signal to those in Brussels who would humiliate us further.

Dunphy said that Labour has been the greatest disappointment in this campaign, blaming in part the influence of “Euro fanatic” Ruairí Quinn in the Labour leadership.

Gilmore has failed the acid test of leadership which is to stand up to the Establishment and the prevailing consensus.

Labour has tried to be what it is not. It is now redundant.

Labour is outflanked on the Left by Sinn Féin and the centre that it is trying to move into is already occupied by Fine Gael.

Support Sinn Féin and Independents to send Brussels a defiant message.
