Patrick Sheehy Commemoration

On a cold but sunny afternoon, around 60 republicans from across Munster attended the 10th annual Packie Sheehy comemoration on Sunday, 7 January, at Ballysteen, County Limerick.

Chairperson Risteard Ó Fuaráin welcomed the gathering and said that the attendance was testimony to the esteem and respect in which Packie is held. In the main oration, Tralee UDC and Kerry County Councillo Martin Ferris paid tribute to the courage and commitment of Packie Sheehy to the end. He spoke of the necessity to pursue the aims and objectives for which Packie Sheehy fought and died.
