Strabane on tour
The Strabane branch of the Tyrone National Graves Association recently travelled to Dublin to visit Kilmainham Gaol.
John Kelly, chair of the local branch, said: ``This annual event is now firmly established in the republican calendar and was a great success''. He thanked the museum staff who ``as always conducted the tour in a highly informative manner''.
The group also visited Glasnevin Cemetery in the company of Dublin republican Noel Hughes, who led the group around the various republican plots.
A tour is planned for later in the summer to visit the National Museum and Dublin's historic sights.
