Cole and Colley remembered

SOUTH DUBLIN Sinn Féin County Concillor Mark Daly was the main speaker at the annual Cole/Colley commemoration in Artane, Dublin, on 4 September. The ceremony was chaired by Brian Poole of Dublin North-East Sinn Féin at the memorial on Yellow Road, Whitehall, which marks the site of the summary execution of Fianna Éireann members Sean Cole and Alf Colley during the Civil War in 1922. Councillor Daly pointed to the growth of Dublin Sinn Féin and said that the party was providing the only real alternative in national and local politics. He said republicans were working for a "united and socially just Ireland", a fitting memorial to all who had died in the cause of freedom.
