Sectarian firebombing in Coleraine

The firebomb attack on the Ballysally, Coleraine home of Patrick Simpson, Shirley Young and her 13-year-old son in the early hours of Thursday morning was a sectarian attack, according to Patrick Simpson.

Simpson, who only moved into the area five weeks ago, said the family were attacked because he was a ``Catholic in a mainly Protestant area'', he also claims he had been warned against moving into the area.

The Catholic man claimed that four years ago when he previously wanted to move to the area his flat was completely gutted in another sectarian attack.

``We just want to get out of the estate''. Simpson said.
