Commemorations in the Covid-19 world

The National Commemorations Committee has met this week and recommended that both the annual Wolfetone Commemoration at Bodenstown in June and the Annual Hunger Strike Commemoration set for Cork in August cannot go ahead in their usual formats this year.

There are however, alternative plans being put together for a series of online commemorative events to mark these important dates in the republican calendar the and further details and information will follow.

Comóradh fad is a bheas COVID-19 linn

Chruinnigh an Coiste Náisiúnta Chuimhneachán an tseachtain seo. Mhol siad nach féidir leis an Chuimhneachán Bliantúil WolfeTone i mBaile Bhaldain i Meitheamh agus an Comóradh Stailceoir Ocrais Náisiúnta a bhí in aimnse a bheith ar siúl i gCorcaigh i Lúnasa, dul ar aghaidh mar a ba ghnách i mbliana.

Leoga, tá roghanna eile á chur le chéile le sraith comóraidh a dhéanamh ar líne leis na himeachtaí móra seo ag Poblachtánaigh a cheiliúradh. Tá tuilleadh eolais le teacht.
