Mary Lou McDonald set to return to work after recovering from Covid-19

Mary Lou McDonald this week announced that she had a positive test for Covid-19 and that she is in recovery and fully expects to be back at work on Monday. 

In a short video from her home Mary Lou urged people to continue to stay at home and adhering to the advice in order to save lives.

Pearse Doherty has said the there is no substance to the document produced by Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil this week.

Speaking on the Tonight Show on Virgin Media One this week he said the track record of these parties shows that they cannot be trusted because they have never delivered for workers or parties.

Package of measures for nursing and care home facilities must be fast tracked – Pearse Doherty

Speaking in the Dáil this week Pearse Doherty raised the crisis in nursing and care home facilities with over 200 clusters of Covid-19 identified in these institutions and called for fast tracking of the package of measures agreed in respect of staffing and improving PPE access.

Blanket exclusion of over 66’s for Covid-19 payment unacceptable – John Brady

Sinn Féin Spokesperson on Employment Affairs and Social Protection John Brady TD has said that the blanket exclusion of over 66's during the COVID-19 crisis is "wrong and unacceptable", and that more must be done during these testing times.

Brady said many people over the age of 66 choose to continue working instead of retiring. They use their additional non-pension income to make ends meet, pay their mortgages and other bills.

Boylan raises Taxi Drivers concerns at Ad-hoc committee for Covid-19

Future of League of Ireland Clubs must be safeguarded – Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire
