Hold 3 by-elections together, says Green Party minister

GREEN PARTY Communications Minister Eamon Ryan says that all three long-overdue by-elections in the 26 Counties should be held at the same time.

He was commenting after newspaper reports that Fianna Fáil are planing to hold the Donegal South-West by-election in March in order to put an end to a legal challenge by Sinn Féin and Donegal Senator Pearse Doherty.  The case is due to be heard in the High Court on October 18th.

But the Green Party is also reported as wanting the outstanding by-elections in Dublin South and Waterford to be held at the same time.  Minister Ryan says that position remains unchanged.
