Belfast City Hall rally says “Refugees Welcome in Ireland”

SINN FÉIN Mayor of Belfast Arder Carson and hundreds of people joined elected representatives at a vigil at Belfast City Hall on Monday evening in support of refugees and urging the British and Irish governments to do more.

In a strong show of solidarity many of Sinn Féin's leadership attended the vigil including party president Gerry Adams TD.

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness MLA, despite the unfolding crisis at the Stormont Assembly, led a strong delegation of MLAs including Caitríona Ruane, Pat Sheehan and Fra McCann.
