The Irish Volunteer - Óglach na hÉireann, Volume 2, Number 39
The paper reports what it calls the largest gathering of the Irish Volunteers yet held in Cork city. The occasion was a recruiting meeting addressed by Commandant PH Pearse.
The Cork City Battalion, led by Commandant Tomás Mac Curtáin, turned out in full and marched with Pearse to the meeting. There is a separate report on the progress of the Cork City Battalion, with its headquarters at Sheares Street.
