Jeremy Corbyn takes the stage at West Belfast Talks Back
JEREMY CORBYN'S APPEARANCE on the West Belfast Talks Back panel ensured that one of the most popular centrepieces of Féile an Phobail was an even bigger crowd puller this year that generated a lot of media and public interest.
Joining the front runner to be the next leader of the British Labour Party were the DUP's Gavin Robinson MP (East Belfast), Sinn Féin Councillor Eoin Ó Broin (who used to be a councillor in north Belfast before moving to Dublin), and comedienne Nuala McKeever. (Progressive Unionist Party Councillor Julie Ann Corr was unable to attend.)
In the hot seat chairing the discussions and Q&A with the audience was BBC journalist and presenter Noel Thompson.
Questions included the issue of austerity, the Labour Party organising in the North, plastic bullets and Palestine.
