‘Unmanageable Revolutionaries’ at Stormont for International Women’s Day event – Video
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY and the centenary of the founding of revolutionary women’s movement Cumann na mBan were celebrated at Stormont this week.
Among the speakers was Dr Margaret Ward, author of Unmanageable Revolutionaries, a book that describes how Irish republican women – particularly those involved in Cumann na mBan – have always played a key role in the struggle for Irish freedom and independence despite their frequent omission from the history books.
The event took place on Wednesday 5th March.
