Willie Frazer says his new political party is ‘anti-politics’

‘The Shinners are running rings around unionist leaders’
THE DUBLINERS sang about ‘The Pub With No Beer’ – now unionist serial campaigner and international traveller Willie Frazer is bringing us the political party with no politics.
Never one to shun the limelight, the Markethill
Globetrotter says ‘The Protestant Coalition’ is an “anti-politics political
party”.
The un-PC PC has been registered with the Electoral Commission and formally launched on Wednesday.
On its website, the new party says its motivation is “the complete failure of our unionist leaders to take on and compete with Sinn Féin, the SDLP and even the idiotic Alliance Party!” It further smarts:
“The Shinners are running rings around them and they don’t seem to give a fig for the PUL [Protestant, Unionist, Loyalist] community anymore.”
It adds:
“The Protestant Coalition totally rejects the sectarianism and hatred of the past.”
Which is presumably why they’ve brought it back with a new sectarian party name.
Willie says ProdCo’s constitution means that it will be dissolved in three years “if our politicians get their act together”.
By “our” he means unionists.
Out on bail for his shenanigans during the Union flag protests, Willie says ProdCo won’t have a proper leader (a bit like the Ulster Unionists).
“There’s not going to be a leader as such,” says Willie, who seems to be the leading spokesperson for the leaderless party. “There’ll be a committee but no overall boss; it will be made up of people from all backgrounds.”
All backgrounds except non-Protestant backgrounds, of course.
The new party says it will work with the TUV, the PUP and UKIP. How UKIP leader Nigel Farage juggles this political hand grenade could be interesting as UKIP strives to replace the Liberal Democrats as the third party in Britain.
Then again, you may not hear too much about ProdCo in the mainstream media in the coming weeks because:
“The Protestant Coalition operates a professional media
relations department… We rigorously enforce a ‘one strike and out’ policy with
regard to journalists – if any journalists resorts (sic) to lies, distortions and
unfounded allegations, we never deal (sic) with that individual again.”
So An Phoblacht is okay then.
Willie told the News Letter he thinks people would be “surprised at our capabilities”.
Not really, Willie.
“We’re just sick and tired of empty promises.”
This will be welcome news for the Special EU Programme for European peace funds that has been looking for Willie to hand back more than £350,000 given to his ‘unionist victims’ FAIR organisation that was allegedly mis-spent and not fulfilled his promises.
This may not be the only unfulfilled promise of Willie Frazer.
And will Jim Dowson – the Christian fundamentalist former fund-raiser for the bigots of Nick Griffin's disintegrating BNP until he split to lead the even tinier far-Right Britain First party – be satisfied toiling in the backroom bankrolling Willie's latest excursions in the world?
Watch this space.
