Orange hall arson attack condemned by Sinn Féin MLA
THE attempted burning down of Glenavy Orange Hall in Crumlin, south Antrim, early on Monday morning has been described by local Sinn Féin Assembly member Mitchel McLaughlin as “nothing but a sectarian action which is to be condemned outright”.
The MLA said this is the fourth attack on this hall in a number of months “and serves no purpose but to heighten tensions and attempt to damage the good community relations in the town”.
He called on anyone who saw anything suspicious in and around the Orange Hall, particularly at around 3:40am, to contact the PSNI.
