Sinn Féin spokesperson on Equality and Human Rights Martina Anderson MLA last week handed over Sinn Féin’s formal submission to the consulation on a Bill of Rights for the North. She was joined by head of the party’s Equality and Human Rights Department, Vincent Parker.
She said: “Sinn Féin rejects the British Government/NIO consultation document and demands that it be withdrawn and that a meaningful process be put in place to implement a Bill of Rights that is worthy of the aspiration of all in our communities for a rights-based society that offers protections for the most vulnerable and respects the diversity of our community and has equality at its very core.
“Today we submitted our formal response, which is available for view on our website, www.sinnfein.ie, as well as thousands of submissions handed into Sinn Féin offices across the Six Counties.”
