Coiste Na n-Iarchimí bursaries for education or training

IN August 2009 Coiste Na n-Iarchimí launched its Education and Training Bursary Scheme, which has to date assisted almost 500 former political prisoners and immediate family members with costs towards their education or training.

These bursaries are funded by the EU Peace 3 Programme under the European Regional Development Fund through SEUPB and are available to those who need financial help with course fees for education or training.

Current funding means that the scheme can continue this year. Therefore we would encourage those who need assistance and meet the criteria to apply.

At this stage it is important to note that those enrolling in university/college for the September 2010/11 term need to have their applications returned by Friday September 17th. After that date the bursary scheme will no longer be available to those within this category.
