Ógra Shinn Féin protest at British naval vessel
Dublin Ógra Shinn Féin last week protested at the arrival of British naval vessel HMS Mersey in the port of Dublin. The vessel, armed with a 20mm cannon and two machine guns arrived on Wednesday 19 August and departed the next day. Dublin Ógra spokesperson Daithí Byrne said the ship “represents the Navy that is responsible for occupation and oppression across the world. We are here today to tell the British Navy they are not welcome in Ireland”
