New Dublin City councillor

DRIMNAGH man Ray McHugh has been selected by Sinn Féin members as the new councillor for Crumlin to replace Robbie Sargent, who stood down for family reasons.
Ray was reared and has lived in Drimnagh all his life and is married to Phyllis McCabe, who hails from Crumlin. They have three sons.
A trade unionist all his working life, Ray served on several trades councils. He worked in Eircom for 30 years and is now working in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, on job share.
He has been deeply involved in local soccer teams most of his life, firstly with Castle Celtic, before moving to St John Bosco, where he was manager and later chairperson of this great club. Ray is presently the secretary of Inchicore FC and also secretary of the Blackhorse Darts and Social Club.
