Mary Doyle co-opted to Armagh Council
Mary Doyle has been co-opted onto Armagh Council to represent the Crossmore Ward following the recent resignation of Sinn Féin Councillor Pat O’Rawe.
Doyle is from Armaghbreague and a member of the local Carragher/McCreesh Sinn Féin Cumann. She is a working mother, with three children.
Mary was involved in the strategy committee that ensured the successful election of Cathal Boylan as an Assembly member. She is also an integral part of local Sinn Féin committees dealing with Health, Women and Community Resources.
Sinn Féin Group leader on Armagh City and District Council, Cathal Boylan MLA, welcoming Mary’s nomination said:
“Mary will be a great benefit to not only the Armagh Sinn Féin Council team but to the Crossmore area. She is widely recognised as an articulate,committed and caring person who has an awareness of issues of concern both locally and nationally.”
Newry and Armagh MP Conor Murphy added: “Mary has given a valuable input to the Newry/Armagh political strategy mapped out by Sinn Féin, and that I am sure she will make an excellent local elected representative.”
